Hey, it’s been awhile so as promised here’s a lil update for ya. Things haven't been too great on the health front but you should never let illness define you or hold ya back, just focus on your abilities rather than your disibilities. So moving swiftly on, the mixing and mastering of trax is nearing the end, I’ve had  more setbacks than Twitter followers but I’m  getting there and I’m looking forward to releasing the New album early part of 2015  I can tell you it will be called “Don’t Say Nuthin If It Ain’t  Worthwhile”  & will have 13 trax on it, but firstly a single will be released in January called “Tears” and I’m busy filming the video right now.                                             Although if you tune into Raw Vibes on a Sunday with Nia Visser 7-9pm http://www.vibe1076.co.uk/  you may just get to have a sneaky liste...

Following on from Pt1 I’ll be looking at another of the extremely questionable “opportunities” or  “Radio Ready Rubbish” as I prefer to call it, and explain why you shouldn't make the boob of paying for such a useless service.  Everyone seems to be jumping on this money making bandwagon, even the companies I once deemed good….all  respect goes out of the window for any outfit that has this on their list of services because In my experience and opinion, for at the end of the day that’s all it is, it's got nothing to do with preparing artists or helping them as the spin often states, its purely another money making exercise to benefit the company NOT you. Each company operates differently but basically  you pay money and they play a song of your choosing, so for $10 –its played to 100 people, $25 -1000 people, and so on.  Music fans are encouraged to sign up to take part, and in return they are often offered a reward for reviewing your trac...

                                 The way I see it, Music is about   doing your Homework and Hardwork ,  nuthin comes easy and as an independent band/artist   it can seem like someone’s waiting to pounce at every corner claiming to make it easier if you just.... Give us ya Money, Give  Us Ya Money. .... GIVE US YA MONEY Unfortunately it’s the one thing most of us don’t have a lot of to play with.  The one thing we can be sure of is our love, passion, commitment and determination …okay that’s four things, but  its these things that companies often prey on, making you believe if you don’t pay for their services & just remain on the FREE package then you won’t be taken seriously as a musician, they’ll go as far as making you feel like an amateur with no hope of making it …unless of course you pay…..& in most cases you even have a choice of packages ri...

So the other day I posted on Twitter that I would no longer be uploading trax to radio stations by chance of getting played, or magazines in the hope of a review, and said I would explain why in a blog…this is THAT blog. For those few radio presenters, Dj's, & Music journalists that have been supportive from the get go and dare to be different, I have nuthin but luv, thanx, appreciation and admiration at your gusto and look forward to continuing sharing each others journey.   Eve? Well, still making damn good music that’s where, like thousands of other female rap/hiphop artists  worldwide, not that it’s that obvious seeing as they don’t get  the respect or amount of coverage they deserve. Do  you ever have those times where everything  goes wrong?...yep? Good then you’ll understand when I say that’s exactly what’s happening right now Re the video to new track Scratch N Sniff.  So I thought I’d update you….. I’ve reached  mega green hulk like proportions as far as frustration goes. I’d scheduled the video to be done, dusted and released in May, all the filming was done it just had to be edited. I was using Windows Movie Maker  but quickly discovered its  the biggest load of shite I have ever had the misfortune of working with. Growing up  the elders always told me   “If sumthin sounds too good to be true, then it usually is, so don’t be fooled”.  Windows Mover Maker was free   it was already on my laptop, why miss out on an opportunity like this, why pay for some other software when this one was here, free, staring me in the face? Because it seemed too good to be true and I was fooled obviously. T...

Just the other day when  seeing my lastest Facebook status was up by 1500 views compared to normal , my first thought was “Oh my god how depressing” Probably Not the obvious reaction you’d  expect?   The difference between that post and all my other posts was the fact I had no clothes on, I’m naked in the bath..... you cant actually see anything, well not really, apart from a bare arm holding a  glass of Disarronno, and a bit of  a side view that doesn’t reveal anything that’s likely to get any  pulses  racing. Nevertheless it still pulled in more views than any other posts……..except the one  a couple of years ago of my arse that I used for the cover of   “ I will always Luv U”  my rap twist on a classic, that I did for charity.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifruSfRXUbg I thought having the song title emblazoned on my left cheek would be a bit of laugh, and it appealed to my juvenile sense of humour,...

So I’ve been putting this update blog off because when you have M.E its like trying to think through a wall of fog most of tha time. But I cant put it off indefinitely, So, first up is change, there’s been major changes since last year so I best explain. It's been over six months since Tha Studio I’ve  recorded all my trax in so far,  moved, so it’s no    longer local, not for me anyhow, if I didn’t have M.E  maybe I would’ve hopped on a train, who knows?  but I cant.                         This has also meant that trax are having to be mixed remotely and there’s been a number of delays and things coming to a halt. It’s a much harder and clinical way of working amongst other things which is why I’ve never been a fan and probably never will be.  Due to tha new circumstances, tha plan of dropping tha album in July isn’t  going to happen now either, ...

As this is my end of year blog I thought I’d incorporate my music & M.E health blog into one. Its been an eventful year to say tha least, for starters never in a million years did I think I’d end up on an album with tha likes of Huey Morgan (Fun Lovin Criminals) @hueymorgan   & Carol Deckor(T’pau)   @caroldecker but I did…how did that happen? ……........ Well earlier in tha year I was approached by tha very talented Stuart Lynch @stuartstweets   who was putting an album together for a cause close to his heart    The Kaira Konka Education Fund    helping children in Gambia to get an education. He asked whether I would donate tha track “No Label”.........what?...me?    I was absolutely chuffed to be asked,  because it’s a great cause & stuart is a very talented musician/engineer/producer.    Tha album is now available for download called "SONGS FOR SOMA" on ITUNES So a big holla of thanx goi...
